A Message to the Residents of Fountain Valley
From Congressional Primary to Fighting for Our Hometown
To everyone who supported our campaign during the Congressional primary: you have my deepest and most enduring gratitude. Your energy, trust, and shared desire for honest, mission-driven governance proved that our community is ready for real accountability.
That mission does not stop, it comes home. Today, I am 100% committed to fighting for the residents of Fountain Valley, not special interests, Sacramento power brokers, or political insiders. While Fountain Valley has long prided itself on being 'A Nice Place to Live,' we can never settle for stagnation. We can always strive to be better, and we deserve far better from our local elected leaders.
Ensuring the future of Fountain Valley is bright means taking real action. There are numerous proactive programs that can be initiated with a neutral to positive impact on our city budget: initiatives that will directly help combat the rising cost of living, generate responsible city revenue, eliminate bureaucratic waste, and protect the quality of life that makes our neighborhoods special.
As a USMC Veteran, I was trained that true leadership means service over self, executing missions with discipline, and never leaving anyone behind. I pledge to bring that same fighter's mindset and steadfast stewardship to City Hall for as long as the residents of Fountain Valley grant me the privilege of serving.
What Fountain Valley cannot afford is four more years of the same failed status quo. For years, a voting bloc anchored by Mayor Jim Cunneen and seated Council Member Ted Bui, enabled by departing Vice Mayor Patrick Harper, has treated City Hall as a stepping stone for outside political ambitions rather than a workshop for constituent results. Ted Bui has developed a reputation for wasting city funds and hundreds of staff hours pursuing divisive, self-serving issues to elevate his personal political profile, and endorsing candidates like Dan Hay would merely continue this wasteful insider coalition. Meanwhile, Councilwoman Kim Constantine has too often acted as a lone dissenter who fails to coordinate or build consensus for issues she seeks to elevate, which ironically prevents those concerns from ever being reconsidered and hobbles her own initiatives.
